The Owl Got Your Spanish This Far.
A Human Gets You the Rest of the Way.

News

Duolingo taught you “manzana.”

We’ll teach you to order the empanada, catch up with your suegra, and understand the joke.

Let’s be honest.

You’ve done the owl thing.

You’ve got a streak.

You can probably conjugate ser in your sleep.

And the second the conversation goes somewhere the app never covered, you’re on your own.

That’s not a you problem.

That’s an apps problem.

They’re built to keep you tapping, not talking.

Matching a word to a picture feels like progress, but it’s not the same muscle as thinking on your feet in a real conversation, with a real person, in real time.

No pause button.

No hearts to lose.

Just you, figuring it out.

That’s the part that actually makes you fluent.

Not another lesson streak.

Real back-and-forth, with all its glorious mess: half-finished sentences, the wrong verb tense, someone laughing with you (not at you) and helping you fix it.

That’s the whole idea behind PBO.

No worksheets, no gold stars.

Just conversation, from day one, with native speakers who feel more like new friends than instructors.

We talk about actual life.

Trips you took.

Family drama.

What you had for lunch.

The stuff that makes a language stick, because you’re using it, not memorizing it.

Small classes.

Real people.

Real corrections, in the moment, from someone who actually heard you say it wrong and can show you how to say it right.

You won’t get that from an app.

You’ll get it from conversation.

If you’re on the fence about Bootcamp…

News

If you’re on the fence about Bootcamp, chances are it’s not because you don’t want to improve your Spanish.

It’s probably because you’re picturing everything that could get in the way.

So let’s talk about that.

“What if I travel during Bootcamp?”

Most tasks can be done from anywhere.

Past Bootcampers have done this from hotel rooms, airports, even mid-vacation.

“Ninety days was a challenge as I had several vacations during the program, but it was worth it to persevere.”

“I am happy I was able to put my Spanish learning first, even while on vacation.”

“What if my class is full?”

Book early and you’ll get your preferred spot.

If it’s tight, you can take a lower-level class and participate, a higher-level class and just listen, or double up the following week.

“What if I have a genuinely rough week?”

Then you have a rough week.

It happens to almost everyone at some point during the 90 days.

The people who finish aren’t the ones who never struggle, they’re the ones who keep showing up anyway.

“Tuve una semana de mierda 💩, y hice todas las tareas del Bootcamp. Creo que esto en sí mismo es un gran logro.”

One more thing: sign-ups close Thursday, September 10.

If you’ve been meaning to join, lock it in.

→ Get the deets and lock in your spot

The ‘what ifs’ are always harder than the actual thing.

You just ran through all of yours.

Congrats!

Bootcamp 2026 is officially open 🏔️

News

Hola,

The wait’s over.

Bootcamp 2026 is officially here.

The details:

📅 Starts Saturday, September 12 | Ends Thursday, December 10

💰 Starting at $149/month (plus $19/month for Patreon, where Bootcamp lives) 🎒 Bootcamp-only class package available

⏰ Deadline to join: Thursday, September 10

Here’s the thing about Bootcamp.

We won’t tell you it’s easy.

90 straight days of daily practice, weekly classes, and real accountability is a genuine commitment.

But we’ve been doing this for over a decade, and the results, for the people who see it through, are honestly kind of wild.

Like:

  • “My high school best friend heard me speak Spanish for the first time and she was SO impressed! She didn’t know how hard I’d been working!!!”

Language learning is usually measured in years.

Bootcamp is our favorite exception to that rule.

90 focused days, real structure, a community that’s got your back, and you’d be amazed what happens.

See full details and sign up

Not ready to commit yet but curious?

The full landing page has everything: the daily/weekly/monthly breakdown, FAQs, cost, all of it.

The trail’s open. Let’s go.

Nobody Wakes Up Fluent. Here’s What Does Happen.

News

Not every Bootcamp win is a big, dramatic breakthrough.

Most of them are small.

And honestly?

The small ones are what add up to something real.

Some of our favorite wins from past Bootcampers, at every level

“One of my sentences on Facebook didn’t need a correction!”

“Ahora entiendo las palabras de la canción de Bad Bunny ‘Titi Me Preguntó’!” (Translation: “Now I understand the words to Bad Bunny’s song ‘Titi Me Preguntó’!”)

“There is no doubt that the consistency has made a difference, my functional vocabulary has expanded and my grammar has improved. I am starting to use the subjunctive more naturally in some situations!”

Yes, that last one is a more advanced win, and that’s the point.

Bootcamp isn’t just for people building their first sentences.

It’s just as valuable if you’re refining your conditional tense or finally getting comfortable with the subjunctive.

Whatever level you’re at, the daily structure moves the needle.

None of these people woke up fluent overnight.

They just showed up, day after day, for 90 days.

And somewhere in there, their Spanish started clicking in ways it hadn’t before, wherever “clicking” meant for them.

Ready to make your own dent in Spanish?

Full details on Bootcamp 2026, dates, pricing, everything, drop next week.

Want to make sure you don’t miss it?

Join the interest list and it’ll land straight in your inbox.

Almost to the trailhead.

The part nobody tells you about Spanish Bootcamp

News

Everyone’s a little scared to start.

Here’s proof that’s fine.

Let’s be honest about something.

Every single person who’s ever signed up for Bootcamp has had the same little voice in their head right before they sign up: what if I can’t keep up?

Good news: that voice is normal.

It shows up every year, for everyone, and it’s never stopped someone from finishing.

Here’s what past Bootcampers told us, in their own words:

“I discovered I’m not embarrassed to just do my best speaking in Spanish classes!”

“Tuve una semana de mierda, y hice todas las tareas del Bootcamp. Creo que esto en sí mismo es un gran logro.” (Translation: “I had a crap week, and I still did all the Bootcamp tasks. I think that in itself is a huge accomplishment.”)

That second one might be our favorite testimonial we’ve ever gotten.

Because that’s the real secret of Bootcamp.

It’s not about being perfect.

It’s about showing up anyway.

You don’t need to feel ready.

You just need to be willing to start walking.

Bootcamp 2026 details are coming soon.

For now, just know: whatever hesitation you’re feeling right now?

Everyone feels it.

It’s not a sign you shouldn’t do this.

You’ll be the first to get all the details when they drop.

See you on the trail.
