La mini lección: El futuro simple A2 y el futuro perfecto A3-C2
la mini-lección: El futuro simple A2
We are going to take a look at the simple future tense in Spanish.
We use this tense to describe something that will happen in the future.
In English, we use the word will in front of the verb.
For example:
El año que viene compraré un sofá nuevo.
(Next year I will (I’ll) buy a new couch.)
Now, some good news: the conjugation is the same for -ar, -er, and -ir verbs!
AND, you don’t even have to remove the verb ending, because we connect the ending directly to the infinitive (the -ar, -er, -ir version of the verb)!!!
For example:
Yo viajaré (I will travel)
Tú viajarás (You will travel)
Ella, él viajará (Etc…)
Nosotr@s viajaremos
Ell@s viajarán
la mini-lección: El futuro perfecto A3-B2
We are going to take a look at the future perfect tense.
We use this tense to express a future action that will have ended before another future action.
For example:
Antes de acostarme habré cenado.
I will have eaten dinner before I go to bed.
It is formed by an auxiliary (helping) verb (haber) in the future form and a main verb (in the past participle form).
The past participle is obtained by taking the verb root and adding the ending -ado for -ar verbs, and -ido for -er and -ir verbs.
Por ejemplo:
Yo habré hablado (I will have talked)
Tú habrás hablado (You will have talked)
Ella, él, usted habrá hablado (Etc…)
Nosotr@s habremos hablado
Ellas, ellos, ustedes habrán hablado

There are some exceptions.
For example: hacer – hecho, decir- dicho or ver – visto.
The future perfect in Spanish is also used to express probability, and to talk about something that might have happened in the past.
For example:
No queda pastel en la nevera. Se lo habrá comido papá.
There’s no cake left in the fridge. Dad must have eaten it.
