Saber vs Conocer
These 2 verbs can be very confusing for Spanish students, because they both mean “to know.”
1️⃣Saber means to know information or how to do something.
Por ejemplo:
▶️No sé hablar francés.
▶️Sabes a qué hora llega el vuelo?
2️⃣Conocer means to know a person, a place or a thing on a more personal level; or to be familiar with something.
Por ejemplo:
▶️¿Conoces a tus primos que viven en Uruguay?
▶️Conozco México bastante bien.
▶️No, no conozco ese libro.
Hopefully we have shed some light on these 2 verbs that can be very confusing!
