Saber vs Conocer⁣

These 2 verbs can be very confusing for Spanish students, because they both mean “to know.”⁣

1️⃣Saber means to know information or how to do something.⁣
Por ejemplo:⁣
▶️No sé hablar francés.⁣
▶️Sabes a qué hora llega el vuelo?⁣

2️⃣Conocer means to know a person, a place or a thing on a more personal level; or to be familiar with something.⁣
Por ejemplo:⁣
▶️¿Conoces a tus primos que viven en Uruguay?⁣
▶️Conozco México bastante bien.⁣
▶️No, no conozco ese libro.⁣

Hopefully we have shed some light on these 2 verbs that can be very confusing⁣!
