Latin America is, in fact, full of great literary talents. A great number of them are Nobel Prize winners, and a lot of them are great authors who have contributed to the evolution of the language. Let’s get to know the works of Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Colombia), Jorge Luis Borges (Argentina), Pablo Neruda (Chile), Mario Vargas Llosa (Peru), Octavio Paz (Mexico), Julio Cortázar (Argentina), Isabel Allende (Chile), Miguel Asturias (Guatemala), Gabriela Mistral (Chile) and Carlos Fuentes (Mexico).⁣\nThese authors use literary figures also known as rhetorical figures. These forms of speaking use words with enhanced beauty, emotion and life! The importance of these figures is that we can apply them to our daily conversations, as native Spanish speakers love description and emotion (somos dramáticos). Learn the applications of figures like metáfora, simil, hipérbole and metonimia and express yourself with passion!
