SUMMARY:San Diego Latino Film Festival – movie with Winnie!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a movie at the virtual Latino Film Festival!⁣\n⁣\n⁣\nPlease purchase your ticket immediately after signing up in MindBody, as they sell out!⁣\n⁣\n⁣\nInvite to see Cachada, a documentary feature. ⁣\n⁣\n– Join us in this amazing documentary as we celebrate International Women’s Day this month.⁣\n⁣\nFive Salvadoran women, street vendors and single mothers, form a theatre company and accept the challenge of putting on a playthrough which they’ll bring their harsh life stories to the stage. What began as an experiment has turned into the only opportunity to transform their lives, but will they be able to face their past and get over their fears, traumas and dark secrets?⁣\nFilmed over a year and a half, this observational documentary is witness to the rehearsals process of their play, through which they will discover themselves as victims and victimizers, realizing that they have educated their children without overcoming the pain of the past. The cycle of violence is perverse, but the power of theater is stronger.⁣\n⁣\nTeacher: Winnie⁣\n⁣\nWhen: The movie is offered on March 16, 2021, 6:30 – 10:30 PM and March 20, 2021, 2:00 – 6:00 PM You can watch it at any of those times and then we will meet on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 5:30 pm for a virtual chat about the movie, en español. ⁣(After this content becomes available, you’ll have 4 hours to start watching. Once you begin, you’ll have 24 hours to finish watching – the movie is 81min long)\n⁣\nTrailer:\nhttps://sdlff2021.eventive.org/films/602c6afceb70c20078583f74⁣\n⁣\nPurchase your tickets here:\nhttps://watch.eventive.org/sdlff2021/play/603af3b58bbfbd0067f5299d⁣\n
